More about Taco. . .
. . . my husband and I we were traveling in the Seattle area visiting family and we stopped to let our 3 dogs run and play at a small school playground in a neighborhood. Out of nowhere, he (Taco) came blasting up to interact with us. . .when we loaded up to leave, he tried to get in our car, and that is when we noticed he was SKIN and BONES and intact with no tag. We knocked on doors for 30 minutes to see if we could return him to his home, but everyone said he was a stray - always running loose. OH MY. . .so my husband named him Taco and piled him in the car!! I figured I would find him a good home, but within about 10 hours he had me wrapped around his heart!! He was OURS!! He has never met a stranger. . .he immediately snuggles into every set of arms that hold him, resting his neck in your neck!! He has been to nearly every dog class in Idaho and Alaska for over 13 years and has been held by literally hundreds and hundreds of people. . . most who fall in love and want to know if he needs a new home!! He is a natural "therapy dog" leaving everyone better than he found them. . .many times I have reminded myself that I need to be more like Taco. . . he started losing his hearing and his eyesight, but he never lost his ability to make someone feel special. . . . he has been gone now for 2 years, but he remains forever in my heart as the guy that turned me into a "little" dog lover!! All four pounds of him. . . .and the biggest bundle of love and joy pound for pound unmatched!! . . . .
